I will overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving massive paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers met for the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really happening.
